Mexican musician Jonathan Samuel Meléndez Ochoa was killed in a multi-homicide in Atizapán de Zaragoza.
Jonathan Samuel Meléndez Ochoa, a keyboardist for the band Camilo Séptimo, was killed in a multi-homicide in a residential area of Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico. The incident occurred in a penthouse apartment where Meléndez Ochoa was killed alongside his wife, his daughter, and a nanny. Two men have been detained in connection with the crime. Presidential authorities stated the crime was caused by a dispute between Meléndez Ochoa's family and another family. The State of Mexico government and the Secretariat of Interior are providing support to the victims' families. Aleyda Romero, a 21-year-old woman who worked as a nanny for the family, was also killed in the attack. Her family members and friends gathered in the San Martín Cuautlalpan community to bid farewell to her. Her remains will be buried in a private ceremony in the community cemetery.
