Mark Davis and the Las Vegas Raiders commit $25 million to Nevada's first standalone children's hospital

Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, announced a $25 million gift to Intermountain Health to facilitate the construction of Nevada's first standalone children's hospital. This donation represents the largest philanthropic commitment in the franchise's history. The gift was led by owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman, who each contributed $5 million, with the Raiders organization contributing an additional $10 million. Located at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, the 828,000-square-foot facility will feature 180 patient beds and provide comprehensive, high-acuity pediatric care. The hospital will include advanced emergency services and a full-spectrum outpatient center. In recognition of the gift, the physical therapy and rehabilitation space, as well as the bistro, will be named in the Raiders' honor. Construction is expected to begin in the coming months, with an anticipated opening date in 2030. The administration announced that the investment aims to strengthen the community and provide every child in Nevada have a chance to thrive.
