Land Rover releases first all-electric Range Rover Electric model for 2027
Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Electric, the brand's first fully electric vehicle. The model is scheduled to go on sale in 2027 at a starting price of $140,550. The vehicle features a dual-motor powertrain producing 542 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with a large battery pack located under the floor, utilizing an 800-volt electrical system. The EPA estimates a driving range of 333 miles on a full charge. Designers maintained the aesthetic of the traditional gas-powered model, with the exception of a new grille and wheels. The SUV can reach 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and features a new electronic traction-management system to preserve off-road capability. The vehicle will be built at the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Solihull. The company reported that the car underwent testing equivalent to 38 trips around the world, more than any other Range Rover model. The Range Rover Electric offers a bespoke commissioning service for buyers, providing options for personalized paint colors and materials.
