Ronald Hernan Melgar Tercero is appointed as President of the new Gulf of Fonseca Honduras Stake
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the organization of several new stakes and reorganized presidencies across the globe. Ronald Hernan Melgar Tercero, a 37-year-old environmental management technical assistant, was appointed as the President of the new Gulf of Fonseca Honduras Stake. The stake was organized by Elder Ryan K. Olsen and Elder Favio M. Durán, and includes several wards and branches from the San Lorenzo Honduras District. In addition to the new Honduras stake, the administration announced the creation of several other stakes, including the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Mont Amba Stake, the Málaga Spain Stake, and the Maputo Mozambique Magoanine Stake. New presidencies were also called to serve in the Bismarck North Dakota Stake, Conroe Texas Stake, and Lipa Philippines Stake. The reorganization includes leadership for the New York New York Stake, Orem Utah YSA 4th Stake, Provo Utah West Stake, Quincy California Stake, San Francisco Philippines Stake, Tupelo Mississippi Stake, and Verona Italy Stake.
