Despite the dismissal, Jacobson and Osterud maintain that their effort to the remove Wilson from office is not over. They claim the mayor has been "derelict in her duties" and cited her rash decision to force the resignation of the police chief following the Bite of Seattle shooting. The couple has retained a new lawyer to pursue further charges against the mayor, who they argue has made a series of impulsive decisions regarding public safety and crime management in the Seattle area.
