Tom Golisano Provides Major Philanthropic Gifts to Three Children's Hospitals Across the United States

Philanthropist Tom Golisano has provided significant funding to three different children's hospitals, establishing a national network of 21 institutions known as the Golisano Children's Alliance. This alliance allows premier pediatric institutions to share research, clinical trials, and specialized care delivery protocols. In northern Nevada, Tom Golisano provided a $40 million gift to Renown Health, the largest philanthropic donation in the organization's history. This investment will fund the construction of a standalone children's hospital, replacing the current setup where pediatric care is integrated into the adult medical tower. The new facility will centralize pediatric subspecialties, including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.\n In Minnesota, Tom Golisano provided a $35 million gift to Children's Minnesota, which will rename its Minneapolis campus in his honor. This funding will support a 10-year effort to expand access to precision medicine, such as gene and cell therapies, to help treat conditions like sickle cell disease and type 1 diabetes.\n Additionally, Tom Golisano provided a $30 million gift to Dartmouth Health, which will rename the facility as The Golisano Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Health. This gift is the largest the organization has ever received and will be used to upgrade critical care facilities.
