José Manuel Larumbe reports on rescue operations and flood management in Los Cabos following intense rainfall.

Acting mayor José Manuel Larumbe reported that heavy rains in southern Baja California Sur led to several rescue operations in Los Cabos. Emergency teams rescued nine people from the Eureka stream and recovered four vehicles from the Salto Seco Arroyo. Authorities maintained an alert for more intense precipitation throughout Sunday and into early Monday. During a State Civil Protection Council meeting, José Manuel Larumbe advised the population to avoid crossing streams. The National Water Commission reported 84 millimeters of rain in San Pedro, La Paz, and 45 millimeters near San José del Cabo. Meteorological experts noted that a wavy current and humidity will favor new storm centers. To prepare for the weather, four temporary shelters remain open in La Paz and four in Los Cabos. Governor Víctor Castro Cosío announced that a decision regarding the suspension of classes on Monday will be made at 21:00 hours on Sunday. Public services teams are currently performing cleaning and rehabilitation work on streets in Cabo San Lucas, including the Matamoros and Jacarandas neighborhoods.
