Randy Jhonso Bozo Molina Captured After Attacking Security Guard in Bogota
Randy Jhonso Bozo Molina, a foreign national, was captured after attacking a security guard in the Modelia neighborhood of Bogota on September 5, 2026. The perpetrator hid behind trees and struck the victim, Ricardo Rodriguez, on the head with a stone, causing him to lose consciousness for several seconds. Following the assault, the attacker stole the victim's cell phone, wallet, and bicycle. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galan announced the capture following coordinated work between the Technical Investigation Corps of the National Prosecutor's Office and the District Secretariat for Security, Convivence and Justice. The administration announced that the perpetrator was also responsible for threatening another citizen in a separate incident. Randy Jhonso Bozo Molina was placed under a restraining order and charged with aggravated homicide in a tentative grade. The victim, Ricardo Rodriguez, was transferred to an assistive center for recovery from his injuries.
