Oaxaca official Ricardo Ramirez Perez is detained for his alleged involvement in a criminal vehicle theft network.
Ricardo Ramirez Perez, known as 'El Duck,' was detained by the Oaxaca Fiscalia for his probable responsibility in a criminal network dedicated to the theft, alteration, and sale of stolen vehicles. The second municipal syndic of Oaxaca de Juarez was apprehended after a judge issued an order of apprehension for case number 0338/2026. The operation involved coordination between the Secretariat of Marina, the Secretariat of Security and Protection of the Citizen, and the State Police. Ramirez Perez was arrested outside the Chu Rasgado building of the Ciudad Judicial complex in San Bartolo Coyotepec. Investigations conducted by the General Fiscal Office of the State of Oaxaca showed that the criminal network operated primarily in the Metropolitan Zone of Oaxaca. The official, who also served as a former municipal agent of Santa Rosa Panzacola, was placed at the disposal of the Vehicle Theft Unit to determine his legal situation.
