President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the war is expected to continue into the winter. This follows a series of talks with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who visited Ukraine for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion. The meetings, which took place behind closed doors, concluded without major breakthroughs. Zelensky noted that officials from Ukraine, Europe, and America will meet in the near future to continue discussions and called for a trilateral meeting involving Russia and the US. During the same period, Russia resumed near-constant air attacks on Kyiv after a three-day truce on capital strikes. The attacks resulted in the death of at least two people and injured ten others. Residential buildings and vehicles were caught in the explosions. In other regions, Russian drone strikes killed civilians in the southern Odesa region, Kherson, and Zaporizhia region. In the eastern Donetsk region, aerial bombs struck Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, killing one person and wounding several others. Meanwhile, Ukrainian drone attacks hit a naval base in Novorossiysk, Russia, damaging businesses and residential buildings.
