Russia showcases Su-57E stealth fighter and high-precision munitions at Egypt's El Alamein International Airshow
Russia is displaying its Su-57E fifth-generation stealth fighter and a suite of high-precision munitions at the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt. The exhibition features the Su-57E alongside several new weapons, including the S-71K Kovyor, S-71M Monokhrom, and the S8000 Banderol, also known as the Dan-T. The S-71M is a compact, turbojet-powered weapon designed for fifth-generation fighters, featuring an OFAB-250-270 high-explosive fragmentation warhead and an AI-powered computing module. The S-71K is a more refined, low-observable version of the S-71M. The Banderol, or Dan-T, is a small cruise missile capable of being launched from aircraft, helicopters, and ground platforms. It is a fire-and-forget loitering munition that has been combat-tested in the war in Ukraine. The Su-57E serves as a flagship export for Russia, with Algeria being the first confirmed foreign operator. Rosoboronexport has announced several new export contracts for the aircraft, though the identities of the purchasing countries remain undisclosed. The administration announced that the Su-57E is adapted to operate in various climatic zones and offers a multirole mission architecture independent of Western political approval.
