Marc Benioff and Dario Amodei announce Claudeforce to integrate Salesforce CRM data directly into Anthropic's Claude chatbot
Salesforce and Anthropic have expanded their strategic partnership by launching Claudeforce, a new plugin that embeds Salesforce's customer relationship management data and workflows directly into Anthropic's Claude chatbot. The integration provides sales teams with 37 pre-built skills for tasks such as meeting preparation and pipeline analysis, allowing users to query and update live CRM data without navigating the traditional Salesforce interface. Marc Benioff, the chair and CEO of Salesforce, stated that the partnership combines the world's leading AI and CRM platforms to create a new way for businesses to run. Dario Amodei, the CEO of Anthropic, highlighted that the integration allows companies to leverage decades of accumulated business context while maintaining data privacy through new 'Enterprise Frontier Safeguards.' The announcement coincided with Salesforce reporting fiscal second-quarter results that beat Wall Street expectations, with shares rising 12% in extended trading. The companies also confirmed that Claude is now the default model for Slack, further deepening the integration between the two tech giants.
