The National Meteorological Service of Mexico, part of the National Commission for Water Management, forecasts intense rain, strong winds, and lightning storms across the country over the next 72 hours. The Mexican monsoon and atmospheric instability in the northwestern region will produce very strong and localized heavy rainfall in Baja California Sur, Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Nayarit, while isolated rain showers occur in Baja California. Tropical waves moving from the Yucatan Peninsula toward the Valley of Mexico and Jalisco will contribute to the weather patterns. A new tropical cyclone, potentially named Marie, is forming in the southwest and will support humidity flow in the western half of the country. While the heat wave is gradually subsiding, temperatures in the north, northeast, east, southeast, and parts of the north will remain high, ranging from 35-40 °C, with local peaks of 41-45 °C. The precipitation is expected to benefit water bodies and fields, helping to compensate for previous rainfall deficits.
