While a new cold front and the Black Storm approach the territory, a tropical wave is moving from the center to the western states, strengthening the cyclone Iselle over the open sea. In the northwestern region, extreme heat waves are predicted, with temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius in Baja California and Sonora. Conversely, the central and southern regions will face a mix of high temperatures and significant precipitation. The Mexican Monsoon will produce scattered storms and strong winds, while the central south will see intense rainfall in states like Nayarit and Jalisco. The National Meteorological Service (SMN) notes that while the heatwave continues to cause discomfort, the tropical wave will enter the Yucatán Peninsula by night. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and protect themselves from the sun, particularly in the north where long periods of sun and very hot environments will dominate until September.
