Tropical Storm Norbert formed in the Pacific Ocean and is currently moving westward at a speed of 20 km/h. The storm is located approximately 1,100 kilometers from the coast of Mexico, specifically southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. It currently has maximum sustained winds of 64 to 65 km/h and gusts of 85 km/h. Meteorologists state that the storm does not pose a threat to land. The National Hurricane Center and the National Meteorological Service of Mexico have reported that no alerts or coastal warnings are in effect for the national territory. The storm is expected to intensify into a Category 1 hurricane by the early hours of September 14. At that time, it will have sustained winds of 120 km/h and gusts of 150 km/h. The cyclone will continue to move into open waters, maintaining its hurricane intensity until the early hours of September 15.
