Joanna Geraghty Announces JetBlue's New Domestic First-Class Experience, BlueFirst, for Fall Booking

JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty revealed that the airline will launch a new domestic first-class experience called BlueFirst this fall. The new cabin will be available on Airbus A220 and A320-family aircraft in markets where the airline does not currently offer its Mint premium business-class product. BlueFirst features a 2-2 seating configuration with seats that recline up to five inches and provide up to seven inches of additional legroom compared to standard economy seats. The seats utilize Tuft & Needle foam for personalized support. Passengers will have access to 13.3-inch seatback screens with Bluetooth connectivity, free Fly-Fi internet, and multiple power outlets. The experience includes several premium perks. Passengers will receive Group 1 boarding, priority check-in, and expedited security access at more than 30 airports. On flights of 899 miles or longer, travelers will receive a meal with an entrée, side, and dessert. The airline also introduced a "Mixologist Mode" for custom cocktails and a "snooze kit" for overnight flights. BlueFirst bookings will open this fall, with more details on routes and fares to be announced later this year.
