Itamar Ben-Gvir calls for 30 to 40 targeted assassinations per night in Gaza Strip

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for a nightly quota of 30 to 40 targeted assassinations in the Gaza Strip. During a podcast interview with former hostage Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir expressed disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent decision to scale back military strikes. He argued that the security chief should target individuals who are not just immediate threats, but those he described as "not worthy of life." Ben-Gvir, a prominent far-right figure, also advocated for the permanent emigration of Palestinians from Gaza and the expansion of Israeli settlements. While international legal experts have warned that such a move could amount to ethnic cleansing, Ben-Gvir maintains that he sees "all of Gaza as ours." His comments reflect his long-standing commitment to Kahanism, a movement advocating for violent ethnonationalism. Despite international sanctions from several countries, Ben-Gvir continues to be a key figure in the administration's security cabinet, overseeing the country's police and prison services.
