President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo initiates national consultation to regulate social media and mobile devices for students

The administration announced a nationwide consultation to gather teacher feedback on the use of mobile devices and social media in schools. Data from the Mitofsky consulting firm supports the move, showing that 80% of Mexicans believe social media should start at age 15, while 78% of parents in Chihuahua would prohibit phones in classrooms. The administration aims to ensure that platforms are regulated to provide a safe environment for children while maintaining the primary responsibility of parental oversight.
