A 17-year-old Palestinian boy, Karim Sanad Raja Shalaldeh, was allegedly killed by Israeli forces during a confrontation in the West Bank village of Sa'ir. The incident occurred after Palestinian villagers threw rocks at a group of Jewish settlers who entered the village without prior authorization. A security official opened fire, resulting in the death of Karim Sanad Raja Shalaldeh and wounding a 70-year-old man. The Israeli military stated that the settlers were present in the area without advance authorization, which Palestinians view as an act of intimidation. The village of Sa'ir sits in a southern West Bank area under Palestinian Authority civil control, where Israelis are generally prohibited from entering. The incident highlights a growing trend of settler violence in the West Bank, where at least 87 Palestinians have been allegedly killed by Israeli forces this year. Additionally, the Israeli military arrested three Palestinian suspects in connection with the attack, while two more suspects are still being sought. Separately, the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Health Ministry that Fathi Khazem was allegedly killed by Israeli forces early Friday in Jenin, another incident of escalating violence in the region.
