President Claudia Sheinbaum will miss Friday's morning conference due to a minor illness. Sheinbaum informed the public via social media that she woke up with a strong fever, cough, and tonsillitis, though doctors noted the condition is not serious. In her absence, the morning conference will be led by Secretary of Government Rosa Icela Rodríguez and the director general of the National Institute of Anthropology and History, Joel Omar Vázquez Herrera, who will present archaeological discoveries. This marks the first time Sheinbaum has missed the daily meeting due to illness, as she had previously only skipped it for international trips. The conference serves as a primary tool for political communication in Mexico, where Sheinbaum continues the format established by her predecessor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. During the session, Sheinbaum was also expected to be questioned regarding the arrival of Fernando "N", a former admiral who was expelled from Argentina and is now being interned at the Altiplano maximum security prison.
