Vicente Fox meets with PRI leadership to propose a new citizen movement called Alma de México

Vicente Fox met with Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas to propose the creation of a new citizen movement called Alma de México. The movement aims to unite the opposition parties, including the PRI, PAN, and Somos México, to challenge the current administration's majority in Congress. Vicente Fox stated that the movement seeks to mobilize citizens to take control of the country's political, economic, and security crises. Claudia Sheinbaum criticized the meeting, noting that the alliance between the PRI and PAN is not a new approach but a long-standing relationship dating back to the neoliberal era. Sheinbaum argued that the link between the two parties represents a web of vision, economic models, and public power. Vicente Fox justified the meeting by explaining that the PRI is no longer the same party he defeated in the year 2000. He emphasized that the goal of Alma de México is to ensure that no reforms are approved without considering the opposition. Vicente Fox described the current situation as a deterioration caused by the power being entirely in the hands of Morena.
