A pilot was seriously injured when a single-engine plane crashed into a yard in Lake Stevens.

A pilot was seriously injured when a single-engine plane crashed into a yard near the Frontier Air Park community in Lake Stevens on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The crash occurred near the 11000 block of 127th Avenue Northeast in Snohomish County, Washington. Firefighters from the Snohomish County Fire District #22 responded to the scene at approximately 6:00 p.m. A chief officer from Getchell diverted from an unrelated medical call to find the aircraft in a yard adjacent to the park. The pilot was the sole occupant of the plane and was found trapped inside the wreckage with serious injuries. Neighbors provided first aid to the pilot before the fire crews arrived. Rescuers then helped extricate the pilot, who was transported to an area trauma center. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash. Officials stated there is no ongoing risk to the community.
