SpaceWERX identifies 11 companies to receive new Stratfi contracts

SpaceWERX, the innovation arm of the U.S. Space Force, has identified 11 companies to receive new Stratfi contracts. These companies were selected through the Technology Readiness Level Bootcamp, a partnership between SpaceWERX and The Aerospace Corp. The Bootcamp provides commercially developed technologies with access to technical experts and laboratory facilities to mature their technologies before they compete for government funding. Participants spend two to six months in the program, using NASA's Technology Readiness Assessment Guidebook as a framework. The program focuses on technologies related to in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM) and Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS). By providing independent hardware and software assessments, the Bootcamp helps program managers evaluate the costs, risks, and schedules associated with transition into government programs. While participation does not guarantee funding, previous cohorts included companies such as KMI, Turion, Thermasat, and ASEI, which received technical assessments to align their development efforts with Space Force mission requirements.
