Jeffrey Wlodarczak identifies Starship reusability as the primary factor for SpaceX's future market valuation

Jeffrey Wlodarczak, an analyst at Pivotal Research Group, stated that the investment case for SpaceX rests almost entirely on the company's ability to solve the engineering bottleneck of Starship reusability. While the company currently holds a $2 trillion enterprise value, Wlodarczak noted that achieving 20 to 50 flights per vehicle with inexpensive and quick refurbishment is necessary to drive down launch costs to the level of terrestrial freight.

If this reusability is achieved, it opens a massive opportunity for Starlink to take a material share of the wireless industry and potentially serve as a space monopoly. Wlodarczak initiated coverage of SpaceX with a Buy rating and a $220 price target. SpaceX stock has stabilized after trading off its post-IPO lows. Shares rallied from an intraday low of $104.83 on August 3 to a close of $147.95 on September 4. Despite a first earnings report showing significant losses and capital expenditures of $18.4 billion in the second quarter, 80% of sell-side analysts rate the company as a Buy or Strong Buy.
