Two people were killed Saturday morning when their car collided head-on with a stolen vehicle in Atlantic County. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. at Route 50 and Third Street in Mays Landing. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the driver of the stolen vehicle was at fault for the accident. Authorities announced that the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability is investigating the crash. This office typically handles investigations when a death occurs during an law enforcement encounter. The occupants of the stolen vehicle, consisting of an adult and three juveniles, have been charged, though specific charges were not yet announced. The names of the victims in the other vehicle are being withheld while officials notify the next of kin.
