The Colombian citizen was identified as an illegal immigrant who had entered the United States legally in the21-year-old driver was arrested for remaining beyond his authorized period of stay. After the arrest, a family member of Ivan Dario Rico Molano retrieved the vehicle containing the pastries. Julie Pierre eventually recovered the cinnamon rolls, though she chose to discard them to ensure freshness. Uber provided a full reimbursement for the loss.
