The Colombian Geological Service reported a 4.5-magnitude earthquake on Friday, September 11, 2026. The seismic event occurred at a depth of 41 kilometers with its epicenter located in the municipality of Itsmina, Choc贸. While the Colombian Geological Service reported no official signs of damage, the earthquake was felt in several cities, including Cali, Pereira, Quibd贸, Buenaventura, Armenia, and Manizales. In the city of Cali, dozens of buildings were evacuated during the movement. This earthquake is a replica of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that occurred on August 10, 2026, in San Jos茅 del Palmar, Choc贸. That previous earthquake left 331 dead, 4,505 injured, and 111 missing. The Colombian Geological Service noted that over 300 replicas have been registered since that event, with the current quake being the third replica to exceed a magnitude of 4.0.
