Max Miller remains in Ohio congressional race despite allegations of domestic violence and calls for resignation from his family

Ohio Republican U.S. Rep. Max Miller is continuing his bid for reelection in November despite a barrage of domestic violence allegations and calls for him to step aside from both of Ohio’s Republican U.S. Senators. The administration announced that Miller, who was endorsed by Trump, is facing a messy divorce and custody battle with his ex-wife, Emily Moreno. Moreno has accused Miller of several instances of physical abuse, including holding a gun to her head and throwing hot water at her. In response, Miller has denied all allegations, characterizing them as politically motivated and requesting a House Ethics Committee investigation to clear his name. While his father-in-law, Sen. Bernie Moreno, has publicly condemned Miller’s behavior, Miller remains committed to his seat. He stated that he will not cave to social media pressures and intends to win the race. The House Ethics Committee has opened an investigation into whether Miller may have engaged in domestic violence and abuse or illegal drug use, which Miller requested himself to prove his innocence.
