Minnesota State Fair Breaks Day 1 Attendance Record with 155,185 Visitors

The Minnesota State Fair broke its Day 1 attendance record this year, welcoming 155,185 people to the Great Minnesota Get-Together. The administration announced that this figure represents the largest gap between record-breaking days in the fair's history, surpassing the 2024 record of 138,875 attendees. Fairgoers are enjoying a variety of new food offerings, including Hmong corn dogs and ube-flavored treats, while the fairgrounds host a record number of baking competition entries. Security and logistics are managed by a diverse police force of nearly 160 officers from 62 different agencies. To ensure visitor safety, Regions Hospital Emergency Medical Services provides free on-site medical care, with Medical Director Aaron Burnett noting that the fair is one of the safest places in the state to be. The event runs through Labor Day, with various transportation options including a free Park & Ride bus service and designated parking for cyclists and motorcycles.
