Pedro Sanchez leads Spanish government response to massive migrant influx in Ceuta territory

The Spanish government has pledged 309 million euros ($357 million) in aid to address the ongoing migrant crisis in Ceuta, a territory on the African coast. This follows a massive surge in late July where more than 70,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into the enclave, resulting in at least 80 to 100 deaths during the crossing. Currently, between 5,000 and 8,000 migrants remain stranded in the territory, many of whom are sleeping on beaches and in makeshift shelters.
