Hurricane Marie is currently moving northwards towards the open sea, located more than 900 km south of Baja California Sur. While the hurricane is not a direct threat to the mainland, its extensive circulation is providing beneficial indirect rainfall to more than half of Mexico.

Rainfall is expected to persist in western, central, and southern regions, including Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango, Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosín, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Queretoro, Hidalgo, Guerrero, Estado de México, City of Mexico, and Oaxaca. These areas are predicted to receive 10-30 mm of accumulated precipitation, with localized amounts of 50-75 mm or greater in mountainous regions. More isolated precipitation is expected in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Co.ahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Colima, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. Despite the rainfall, intense heat continues to dominate the territory. Maximum temperatures are reaching 35-40 °C in the northwest, north, northeast, southeast, and coastal regions, with extreme values of 41-45 °C in the plains of Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and the Huasteca. Mountainous regions and the Altiplano will experience cooler temperatures, averaging 15-25 °C.
