Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to visit Russia and Ukraine with a peace proposal

President Trump sent envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv this weekend to present a proposal to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. The administration announced that the envoys will visit Moscow on Saturday to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, followed by a visit to Ukraine on Sunday. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he will meet the envoys in Kyiv and guaranteed the safety of Russian airspace during their visit, while calling on Russia to do the same for Ukraine. Trump said he sent the two negotiators to see if a peace deal can be achieved. The visit marks the first time the duo travels to Ukraine since the administration returned to office with a pledge to resolve the conflict. During the period, a Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine's security service in Kyiv, targeting the office of the acting chief. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated he ordered the security service to provide a tangible response to the attack. Meanwhile, a Russian strike in the city of Kamianske killed four people and wounded five others.
