Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan holds the largest stake in the Trump family's new crypto bank.

Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan, the UAE's national security advisor, holds a 49% stake in the holding company for the Trump family's planned cryptocurrency bank. The administration announced preliminary conditional approval for World Liberty Financial to establish a federally chartered national trust bank to manage its $4 billion stablecoin. This investment follows a previous $500 million investment by Tahnoon in January 2025, which directed $263 million to Trump family entities. While the investment has drawn scrutiny due to Tahnoon's role as a foreign government official, the administration approved chip sales to G42, a UAE state-backed AI company controlled by Tahnoon. The White House denied any conflict of interest, stating that President Trump acts in the best interest of the American public. World Liberty spokesman David Wachsman stated the firm is a private financial technology company with separate governance. Meanwhile, the $TRUMP token is currently navigating a price triangle, with analysts watching for a breakout above $2.90 or a breakdown toward the 200-period EMA.
