Mansfield Oil Company Sues KRSM Inc. Over Unpaid Fuel Sold Through Freedom Fuel Network

Mansfield Oil Company has filed a lawsuit against KRSM Inc. and its president, Syed Kazmi, alleging that the company failed to pay for approximately 1.1 million gallons of fuel. The suit claims KRSM obtained the fuel from a Pennsylvania terminal and subsequently sold a portion of it to the Freedom Fuel Network, a gas station chain promoted by President Trump. Mansfield Oil Company alleges that KRSM benefited from the publicity and low prices of the network while failing to settle the invoice, which totaled roughly $4 million. KRSM disputes the allegations, characterizing the matter as an accounting dispute regarding mis-priced invoices. While the administration announced that it has had no direct contact with KRSM or Syed Kazmi, the Freedom Fuel Network gained national attention for offering discounted prices during a period of high fuel costs caused by the U.S. war with Iran. A judge has partially granted a preliminary injunction, ordering the defendants to maintain a bank account balance of at least $2.75 million as the litigation proceeds.
