President Trump will hold a rally in Myrtle Beach to support Darline Graham in the upcoming GOP runoff.
President Trump will visit Myrtle Beach International Airport on Friday evening to hold a rally at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. to support Darline Graham as she prepares for a GOP runoff to fill the seat of her late brother, Lindsey Graham. Darline Graham was appointed as an interim senator by Governor Henry McMaster following the unexpected death of Lindsey Graham on July 11. The runoff election, which features Darline Graham and U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman, will take place on August 25. The winner of the runoff will eventually face Democratic candidate Dr. Annie Andrews in November. While President Trump's visit will cause temporary flight disruptions at the airport, the Horry County Department of Airports stated that scheduled commercial flights will continue to operate. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction for the Friday evening visit.
