During a July trip to Turkey, the administration announced that President Donald Trump was moved to a separate aircraft via a catering truck to serve as a decoy while the new jet faced a potential Iranian threat. This event led to questions about whether the plane is as well-equipped as the older Air Force One. To address these concerns, Trump said the aircraft would undergo approximately 60 days of upgrades to be "maxed out" for any territory. The administration announced that while the plane is safe for non-hostile international travel, it will receive further enhancements this fall. Trump said the jet is scheduled to be sent for these upgrades in October. President Donald Trump will meet with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Taoiseach Micheál Martin during his visit.
