Golden Retriever Tucker Budzyn Dies at Age Eight After Battle with Lymphoma
Courtney Budzyn revealed that her golden retriever, Tucker Budzyn, died on September 2 after a short battle with cancer. The eight-year-old dog, who became a global social media star, was diagnosed with lymphoma in his intestines on August 30. While the dog was initially in partial remission and responding well to chemotherapy, an infection developed overnight in the area where the cancer had been. Courtney Budzyn took the dog to the veterinarian, where he received antibiotics and fluids, but his temperature continued to rise until they were forced to let him go. In his final three weeks, Tucker Budzyn enjoyed swimming, wrestling with his son Todd, and visiting the park. Courtney Budzyn stated that the dog was a significant part of her life, describing the loss as feeling like losing a body part. She plans to make a move forward and heal from the loss.
