Tucker Carlson argues that President Trump should be removed from office immediately if he chooses to launch a nuclear strike.
Tucker Carlson stated that any national leader who seriously considers the first use of nuclear weapons should be removed from office immediately. The former Fox News host argued that the prospect of the U.S. military initiating a nuclear strike during the conflict with Iran represents a significant red line for leadership. While Carlson previously opposed both impeachment attempts against President Trump, he noted that the possibility of nuclear escalation crosses a different threshold of authority. Carlson pointed to ongoing Pentagon discussions regarding tactical nuclear weapons and noted that President Trump has repeatedly suggested nuclear options against Iran. He highlighted a specific warning from April where President Trump stated that a whole civilization could die if Tehran failed to meet U.S. demands. Despite these concerns, the administration announced that it has not taken any options off the table while considering military action against Iran's Fordow facility. President Trump has also expressed a desire for denuclearization and de-escalation, while maintaining that the U.S. does not need to use nuclear weapons.
