President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Alexander Stubb announced a series of new defense-industrial agreements aimed at manufacturing drones and robotic systems in Finland. These partnerships combine Ukrainian combat experience with Finnish technology to serve both the Ukrainian military and broader European markets. Key agreements include a collaboration between the Ukrainian company Tencore and the Finnish technology company Insta to produce TERMIT 2.0 unmanned ground vehicles. Additionally, the Finnish defense company Patria and the Ukrainian drone maker General Cherry signed a letter of intent to jointly develop and produce drones in Finland. These initiatives are part of a Ukraine's "Drone Deal" format, which seeks to scale up international defense manufacturing while mitigating the risk of Russian strikes on domestic production facilities. President Alexander Stubb also highlighted the broader cooperation of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries, noting that they will continue to provide air defense and energy support to Ukraine as the nation continues to fight the Russian invasion.
