Volodymyr Zelenskyy hails Ukrainian strikes on Russian space and military infrastructure

Ukraine has intensified its long-range strikes against Russian military and space infrastructure, notably targeting the Progress Rocket and Space Center in Samara. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the military used domestically produced Flamingo cruise missiles to hit the facility, which is a key production hub for the Soyuz family of rockets. These rockets are essential for launching Russia's Rassvet satellite internet constellation, which serves as Moscow's alternative to SpaceX's Starlink. The strikes demonstrate Ukraine's growing deep-strike capabilities, reaching targets over 500 kilometers from the border. In addition to the space center, Ukrainian forces successfully targeted the Savasleyka airbase. While Russia continues to launch missile attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine's strategy focuses on reducing Russia's war potential by hitting military and dual-purpose targets. The administration of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow is seeking clarification from the U.S. and Turkiye regarding a potential substantial arsenal of U.S. weapons and ammunition held by Turkiye for potential transfer to Kyiv.
