Volodymyr Zelensky Vows Accountability for Russian Strike That Killed 37 People Near Kyiv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed to hold those responsible accountable for a deadly Russian strike that killed at least 37 people near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. The attack, which occurred in the Bucha district, was caused by a detonation in an ammunition warehouse in the village of Myla. Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the strike caused significant damage to residential buildings and a care home for the elderly and people with disabilities. The Ukrainian president stated that criminal cases have already been opened on charges of official negligence, citing that regulations require ammunition to be stored away from civilian homes. Meanwhile, Russia's defense ministry announced a successful training launch of a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The missile reached the Kura test site, confirming its technical and flight characteristics. This launch occurred shortly after CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited Moscow to warn Russia against escalation with NATO. Russia continues to intensify its strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, while also preparing for future nuclear-powered cruise missile tests in the Arctic region.
