Mykhailo Fedorov and Alex Karp Launch New Defense Technology Company to Leverage Ukraine's Wartime Experience

Mykhailo Fedorov, the former Ukrainian Defense Minister, is partnering with Palantir CEO Alex Karp to launch a new defense technology company. The venture aims to develop technologies that will make the world safer by applying the unique experience gained from Ukraine's full-scale war with Russia. Karp will serve as the company's first lead investor. The duo announced the partnership on Tuesday, noting that the company will bring Ukraine's knowledge of modern warfare to allied countries. Fedorov, who was dismissed from his position as defense minister in July, has been pursuing several new projects since leaving government. These include building a defense technology investment fund and serving as an unpaid adviser to the Italian Ministry of Defense. Fedorov also proposed a direct exchange with the United States, offering to help Washington develop drone capabilities in return for Patriot missile interceptors. He stated that Ukraine has already tested high-speed drones designed to counter Russia's jet-powered attack drones and argued that these could be produced at scale with<image|> The former minister remains focused on Ukraine as his primary priority, despite his new international ventures.
