President Claudia Sheinbaum has achieved the lowest daily average of intentional homicides in Mexico over the past 18 years. Under the National Security Strategy, the daily average for 2026 reached 49.7, which is 45.8% lower than the 91.7 recorded in 2024. The administration's security efforts focus on weakening the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación and its factions. Key achievements include the detention of over 63,500 people related to high-impact crimes over the last five years and the seizure of 518.7 tons of drugs, including over five million fentanyl pills. In addition to security, Claudia Sheinbaum prioritized social welfare programs, investing 3.326 billion pesos this year. This budget allows programs to reach 42.86 million beneficiaries. The administration also opened 33 hospitals and 36 health centers. In education, the administration invested 341.786 million pesos over seven years, exceeding the investment of the neoliberal era. Claudia Sheinbaum announced that there will be no morning conference on September 1st due to the Second Report of Government taking place.
