National Guard soldier Eduardo Bustos was found dead alongside three other victims in Guerrero.

Authorities believe criminals took Bustos and killed him after forcing him to record a video. In the document, Bustos detailed the corruption within the regional chain of command. He identified his superior, Lieutenant Medina, and another official, Montoro, as being on the payroll of the Los Tlacos criminal group. Bustos stated that Los Tlacos pays these officials approximately 6,000 dollars every two weeks. He also noted that thes group pays various Army commanders in the region for information and to ensure their activities remain quiet. Bustos also highlighted the complicity of Jacinto Barona, a local politician, with the Los Tlacos group. He described how the Los Tlacos group aims to take control of the region, specifically targeting the Los Ardillos group in Xaltianguis. The Secretariat of National Defense confirmed the discovery of the body and acknowledged the video released on social media.
