United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby announces the largest international network expansion in the company's history.

United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby announced that the carrier is launching its largest international network expansion to date, adding 10 new destinations across Europe and Asia starting in 2027. The expansion includes new business-travel routes to Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Okinawa, Japan, as well as nonstop service to foodie destinations like Osaka, Japan, and high-end ski resorts like Sapporo, Japan. United Airlines is currently the second-most profitable U.S. airline, following Delta Air Lines. To maintain its growth, the carrier is adding these new locations to avoid overcrowded major cities and cater to changing traveler tastes. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby noted that these new routes will be served throughout the year, extending beyond the summer months into October. The airline plans to make no cuts to its existing routes while adding these new destinations, which include flights from Denver to Paris and a restart of service from San Francisco to Tel Aviv, Israel.
