United Airlines Announces Largest International Expansion in History with 10 New Destinations for 2027

United Airlines has launched its largest international network expansion to date, adding 10 new destinations for the 2027 travel season. The carrier confirmed that eight of these new routes will offer nonstop U.S. service that no other U.S. airline currently provides. Key additions include daily flights from Newark to Marseille, France; daily service from Washington Dulles to Toulouse, France; and four times weekly flights from Newark to Ljubljana, Slovenia. The expansion focuses heavily on southern Europe, with new routes to Valencia and Ibiza, Spain; Olbia, Sardinia; and Catania, Sicily. Other new destinations include San Francisco to Okinawa, Japan, and Newark to Terceira, in the Azores. While the airline is expanding, it also confirmed that every unique destination flown this summer will return for the next season. However, the carrier noted that the new 'Coastliner' Airbus A321neo aircraft will face delivery delays from Airbus, with no specific timetable provided for its debut on transcontinental routes.
