University of Michigan Selects C. Cybele Raver as Next President

The University of Michigan Board of Regents has selected C. Cybele Raver as the school's 17th president. Currently serving as the provost at Vanderbilt University, C. Cybele Raver will officially begin her term on December 1, pending a formal vote by the board on September 1. She will become the second woman to lead the institution, succeeding Domenico Grasso, who will continue to lead the university through November 30 to ensure a smooth transition. C. Cybele Raver brings a distinguished academic record, including a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Yale University and extensive experience in research and university strategy. At Vanderbilt, she was instrumental in launching new colleges and expanding the university's research infrastructure.
