The administration announced sanctions against three far-left international networks, including the UK-based group Palestine Action, which was designated as a terrorist organization. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the administration will use economic tools to cut the financial lifelines of these groups, asserting that political terrorism has no place in society. Palestine Action, co-founded by Huda Ammori, is known for aggressive campaigns against defense companies supporting Israel. While Ammori defended the group's actions as a means of saving lives, the administration accused the group of supporting numerous acts of terrorism since 2020. Additionally, the administration sanctioned Autistici Inventati, an Italy-based technology collective. A State Department memo revealed that Autistici Inventati provides digital infrastructure to violent far-left agitators, including Rose City Antifa and Jane's Revenge. These groups have used the collective's tools to organize, recruit, and disseminate propaganda across the United States and Europe. The administration's move reflects a broader crackdown on far-left extremists who use the cover of activism to normalize political violence.
