Gen. Francis L. Donovan leads U.S. Southern Command strike killing two alleged narco-terrorists in the Eastern Pacific

The U.S. military conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a low-profile vessel in the Eastern Pacific on Sunday, killing two people identified as narco-terrorists. The strike, announced by U.S. Southern Command under the leadership of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, marks the first such operation in over two months. This action is part of a broader campaign by the administration to combat drug cartels, which the administration has characterized as an "armed conflict" where the killed individuals are considered "unlawful combatants." Since the campaign began in September 2025, the military has executed more than 60 strikes, resulting in a death toll exceeding 210. Gen. Francis L.
