Víctor Manuel Velázquez Rangel Announces 6.5 Billion Peso Investment to Modernize Cruz Azul Cement Plant
Víctor Manuel Velázquez Rangel, president of the Board of Administration of the Cruz Azul Cooperative, announced a 6.5 billion peso investment to modernize and reactivate the cement plant in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo. The project aims to improve infrastructure, establish a new production line, and renovate the Cruz Azul Hospital, with an estimated annual production of 3 million tons of cement. During a conference held by President Claudia Sheinbaum, Velázquez Rangel presented the plan as a significant step for the cooperative's economic development. The investment is expected to generate over 14,200 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to the economic growth of Ciudad Cooperativa Cruz Azul and surrounding communities. Velázquez Rangel expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar for their support in promoting the project. The initiative also includes support for the Cruz Azul Hidalgo football club, which will use the Estadio Refundación as its base in the state.
